The use of sewing machines requires frequent cleaning and lubrication to ensure their normal operation.
1. Cleaning of sewing machines
(1) Clean the feeding teeth by removing the screws between the needle plate and the feeding teeth, removing cloth fuzz and dust, and adding a small amount of sewing oil.
(2) Cleaning the shuttle bed is the core of sewing machine work and the most prone area to malfunctions. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly remove dirt and use a small amount of sewing machine oil.
(3) Cleaning of other parts: The surface of the sewing machine and all parts inside the panel should be cleaned regularly.
2. Refueling and lubrication of sewing machines
Special sewing oil must be used. The sewing machine should be fully oiled after one or several consecutive days of use. If refueling is needed between uses, the machine should be idle for a period of time to allow the oil to fully soak and discard excess oil. Then, use a clean soft cloth to wipe the machine head and countertop clean to avoid staining the sewing material. Then thread and sew the rags, using the motion of the sewing thread to wipe off any excess oil stains, until there are no oil stains on the rags, and then proceed with formal sewing.
The refueling parts include: (1) various oil holes on the machine head, lubricating the upper shaft and the components connected to the upper shaft. (2) The components inside the panel and the movable components connected to each component. Lubricate the presser foot rod, needle rod, and the components connected to them. (3) Clean the moving parts of the lower part of the machine wrench and add less oil.
There is no need to add too much oil to each refueling hole and refueling area, just one or two drops are enough.
Secondly, when maintaining a sewing machine, the following points should also be noted:
1. After completing the work, insert the machine needle into the needle hole plate, lift the presser foot, and cover the machine head with a machine cover to prevent dust from entering.
2. When starting to work, first check the main parts, how heavy they are when stepping up, whether there is any special sound, whether the needle is normal, etc. If any abnormal phenomenon is found, it should be repaired in time.
3. After a considerable period of use, the machine needs to undergo a major overhaul. If any parts with significant wear and tear are found, they should be replaced with new ones
